Pat's Message: March 2025

It has been a busy month for us already. Last Saturday, March 8, 2025, the Academy hosted our first International Women’s Day celebration by holding an All-Women Centric Level 1 Pistol class. We did this with a twist and invited Stan Supapo, Longwood University’s boxing coach and a Jiu-Jitsu instructor at 300 Jiu-Jitsu. The class featured women’s self defense class and everyone had fun.

Instruction and demonstration ranged from holds, grabs, and escape and evasion including some ground defense moves. Everyone practiced kicks, punches, knee strikes, and elbow strikes. We will be doing this class again in the future, so watch out for announcements here or online!

This Saturday, March 15, 2025 will be the open range for this month, and we already have people signed up for it. This will be a good practice round for your instructors and hopefully something good for everyone who shows up.

March 29, 2025 will also be this month’s Concealed Carry Certificate Class, so sign up and secure a spot. Make sure you get your qualifiers for when we do the self-defense class again!

We will also do our best to get your non-lethal training programs started this month, so watch out for this as well.
